Description

Multani Mitti literally means “Clay from Multan” widely used in the Indian subcontinent in cosmetics. The name comes from the city of Multan, One such region of Pakistan is widely renowned for its mud created by the decomposition of volcanic ash. The main ingredient in this restorative clay is Calcium Bentonite, which is known for its brightening effects. Because of its ability to retain moisture, it absorbs excess oil from any surface, leaving it with a beautiful matte finish. As a result, it is very useful in treating oily, acne-prone skin since it decreases blemishes and redness. It is also called fuller’s earth and is composed of hydrated Aluminium Silicates

Multani Mitti contains Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, Silica, Dolomite and Calcite. It also has antiseptic properties.
