An AYURVEDIC medicinal oil called Chandanbala Lakshadi Tail is described in the AYURVEDIC book Yogaratnakara. Chandana (Santalum album), Bala (Sida cordifolia), Laksha (Laccifera lacca), and other herbs are combined in this medicinal oil on a foundation of sesame oil.
Chandanbala Lakshadi tail is frequently applied over the head and used for Abhyanga (body massage). Oil application to the body and head is a daily routine (Dinacharya) that is described in Ayurveda. Regular practise offers numerous health advantages.
